Join us for a ride from Fall City on a 32 mile route at leisurely pace, 10 - 12 mph.

Enjoy quiet roads and wonderful scenery on this mostly flat 32-mile leisurely-paced ramble in the rural Snoqualmie River Valley, with a short stop for refreshment at the Carnation Farms Farmstead or possibly Starbucks in Carnation on the way back.  We'll go at about 12 mph on the flats when there is no wind, and there may be pauses for scenery and agricultural activities of note.

A RideWithGPS route map and cue sheet are at the Link, below.  If you need a cue sheet, please print one.  Electric-assist bikes welcome.

It can be a long way to Fall City.  Please plan your trip to be ready to ride 10 minutes before start time so we can do the safety briefing and get on the road.

Let's meet at the Fall City at 9:50 for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10 am. IMPORTANT TO NOTE:  Due to COVID-19 measures, if you are not present and ready when we start the safety briefing, you will not be allowed to participate.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together.

Porta potties available at the start. There is a porta-pot but no water at the start.  There also is a porta-pot opportunity at Jubilee Farm/Mile 5.6 and also at Chinook Bend Park/Mile 11.4.  Restroom and water are on the return leg at Carnation/Mile 22.7.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.

We hope you can join us!

Comments

We were in Carnation yesterday, the road / sidewalk construction downtown is still going on so I've updated the RideWithGPS file to reroute us off the main road downtown onto some of the residential streets.

There was also a major repaving job underway on Ames Lake Carnation road yesterday. The pavement will be wonderful when they are finished, but if they are still working on it tomorrow we will turn around at or just past Carnation Farms.  Doing so will shorten the ride to just over 25 miles.
