Join me for a Sunday morning ride along the Puyallup, Carbon, and White Rivers. We will meet at the East Puyallup Trailhead and roll out onto the Foothills Trail to South Prairie. From there, we climb out of the river valley and eventually up to Sky Island in Bonney Lake before dropping back into Sumner. From Sumner, we catch the Sumner Link Trail, traveling north along the White River before heading back south to our East Puyallup starting point.
We will stop briefly in South Prairie for a restroom break and again at the Sumner Fred Meyer for restrooms, water and food purchase.
Riders should be able to sustain the appropriate pace, read a cue sheet, change a flat (and have the requisite equipment). Please arrive 30 minutes prior so we can roll out at the posted time.
Regroup policy: Regroup at the top of hills as appropriate, waiting a reasonable amount of time and with the best interest of the group in mind.
Please make sure to print your contact information clearly on the waiver and be sure to print a cue sheet if you are unfamiliar with the route.
Please RSVP at Cascade Meetup http://www.meetup.com/cascaderides/ and check back for updates the day of the ride. RSVP is not required, but it helps us plan for an adequate number of Ride Leaders.
At the rest stops, please be a good representative of our sport and purchase something if using merchant’s facilities to show appreciation.
FOR RAINY CONDITIONS, FENDERS REQUESTED. For the comfort of your fellow riders, we request that riders come with long fenders in case the roads are wet. If you do not have fenders and conditions warrant them, you may be asked to ride in the back of the group as a courtesy to the riders behind you.
Cancellation Policy: Showers cancel. If cancellation occurs, an update will be posted in the comments http://www.meetup.com/cascaderides/ section on 2 hours prior to the start time. Ride Leader will not be at the starting point if ride is cancelled.
