Join us for a beautiful ride in the Snoqualmie Valley, starting at Tolt River-John MacDonald Park in Carnation! This is a 19.3 mile route at Steady pace (12-14 MPH).
This ride is ideal for beginners! It's not very hilly, and it takes place on mostly quiet rural roads.
Let's meet at Tolt River-John MacDonald Park at 9:45 AM for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10:00 AM. There are portapotties at the start but no water, so bring your water bottles filled up.
Please note: If you are not present for the full safety briefing, including COVID-19-specific portion, you will not be allowed to ride with us, so please be on time.
The Route
This is a beautiful route through rural roads between Carnation and Fall City. There are great views of farmland and mountains along the road. We have one big climb after we get to Fall City, after which we'll drop back down to the valley. We will stop at Jubilee Farms around mile 15 for a portapotty break before heading back to Carnation.
Pace is 12-14mph on the flats and we will climb at our own pace and regroup at the top of hills.
COVID Safety
Please note: During COVID-19 restrictions, all Free Group Rides are limited in the number of allowed participants. Registration for the ride (using the red “Register Now” button above) is REQUIRED to participate. If you decide not to ride, please click the red "Cancel My Registration" button above so that an additional spot will be made available to another.
Face coverings (for mouth and nose) are required when the group makes extended stops. Face coverings are recommended for the duration of the ride. Please bring personal hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes and tissues for use at rest stops.
We will observe current social distancing guidelines when off the bike, and strive to maintain at least 10-12ft separation between riders when on the bike.
Final Words
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
