Please note: During COVID-19 restrictions, all Free Group Rides are limited in the number of allowed participants. Registration for the ride (using the red “Register Now” button above) is REQUIRED to participate. If you decide not to ride, please click the red "Cancel My Registration" button above so that an additional spot will be made available to another.

Face coverings (for mouth and nose) are required when the group makes extended stops. Face coverings are recommended for the duration of the ride. Please bring personal hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes and tissues for use at rest stops.

We will observe current social distancing guidelines when off the bike, and strive to maintain at least 10-12ft separation between riders when on the bike.

Join us for a weekly ride from the Lynnwood Transit Center! The intent is to ride weekly with longer and more elevation as we go through the season and the days become longer.

Due to COVID, the ride leaders are not able to help fix problems on the road; please make sure your bike is in good working order by having it checked by a local bike shop. Please also make sure you have a properly fitting helmet, working tail light and a headlight as we may be getting back right at sunset. It is recommended to bring water and a jacket for rain, wind or cold; bring a cell phone that you can call to get picked up if you have a mechanical that is too much to repair on the route (we will wait if you can fix it, but it is not a good situation for others who may be getting cold waiting.

Please meet at the transit center at 5:45 for our pre-ride safety briefing and ensure you are ready to ride; we will depart at 6:00 pm. A picture of the transit center is in the attachments of where to meet; there will be another Cascade NERD pace group meeting in another area of the P&R, so if unsure when you pull up, ask the ride leader and they will direct you to the right start. There may also be another non-Cascade group in the north east parking lot (Lot A); they are great too and if you ask them they will point you to the correct group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together with stop at safe points to regroup if we get separated..

There are no restrooms at the start so please be prepared. A restroom will be available along the route.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat and make sure you know how to use them (please watch the YouTube video in the link at the bottom). Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.

If enough riders (more than 10 show up for the ride), we will split into two groups and leave appx. 5 minutes apart. Even with a large group we will expect social distancing and masks to be observed during our pre-ride discussion.

We hope you can join us!
