Join us for a ride from Auburn on a 50 mile route at a steady pace of about 12-14mph on flat with no wind!
This route takes you through the valley around Auburn, Orting, Puyallup, Fife, and Pacific. There is 1 challenging long climb early in the route taking you up Lakeland Hills in Auburn. This will get you really warmed up!! There is only one other climb on this route from Fife up to Milton. Otherwise, this route will be on rolling side roads, just a couple busy street sections, and then lots of different trails through the valley. Make sure that you are prepared for the couple long climbs and feel comfortable staying with the group the whole 50 miles. Being that it is Spring, please wear layers since the weather can and will change. Also, make sure to have snacks, a good tire repair kit, lots of water, and excitement to have a fun ride.
Let's meet at the West side of Auburn Station (non-parking garage side, off of C Street SW) at 9:15am for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 9:30am.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together and regroup at top and bottom of all hills so we can ascent and descent at comfortable paces. We will respect other users on trails and keep our speeds to what is safe in all circumstances.
Restrooms are not available at the start, however we will stop at Game Farm Park at mile 3 for a quick restroom break. We will stop along the way for restrooms at miles 18 (Port of Potty on Trail) and 42 (Port of Potty on Trail). If you have hand sanitizer, it would be good to carry for these restroom opportunities. We’ll also stop for snacks/rest stop at Safeway in Orting at mile 23.8.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please wear appropriate clothing for the days weather conditions.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!

Parking
The parking lot is tricky to get into. You can park in the multi story parking garage at Auburn Station and walk across the skybridge to the parking lot we are meeting at if needed.
