Face coverings (for mouth and nose) are required when the group makes extended stops. Face coverings are recommended for the duration of the ride. Please bring personal hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes and tissues for use at rest stops.
We will observe current social distancing guidelines when off the bike, and strive to maintain at least 10-12ft separation between riders when on the bike.
We resume our shadowing of the ever-popular Getting Ready to Ride (GR2R) series with the sixth ride of the series. Starting from the Bathhouse Theater parking lot at Green Lake we head up the Interurban Trail to Shoreline, enjoy a glorious descent to Lake Forest Park, and return along Lake Washington and through Ravenna Park.
Let's meet at the Bathhouse Theater parking lot at 10:45 a.m. for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 11:00 a.m. Check out the map for the meeting point...at the Theater end of the parking lot.
We'll have a mid-point coffee/pastry stop at Honey Bear Bakery in Lake Forest Park.
Restrooms are available at the start, mid-point and end.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are hazardous riding conditions (eg: ice or snow), the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
