New to bicycling or been off your bike for a while?  New to Cascade or Group riding?  Make this your opportunity to get on the bike and into summer riding. This is a social ride along a variety of trails and roads with experienced ride leaders to get you into riding this summer. There are some gradual climbs to get you used to your gears and gain confidence. We will regroup at the top of all hills to give you a chance to recover.

We will start and finish at the Chainline Brewing Company in Kirkland, next door to the new Google Campus and on the Cross Kirkland Corridor. We will ride down to Lake Washington Boulevard, thru downtown Kirkland, over to Bothell to pick up the Burke Gilman trail, and then the Sammamish River trail to Redmond. We will return via Old Redmond Road, a long but gradual climb. The ride is intended to give you the opportunity to learn and practice group riding skills and ask about riding techniques, training, and equipment. After the ride join us at the Chainline Brewing Company for food and refreshments and more conversations about biking.

We will not have a food stop on the route but there are several water/restroom stops along the way with time to eat whatever snacks you bring.

There are no restrooms at the start but we will stop at Everest Park at mile 0.2.

Please download the route or print the cue sheet.

All riders should come equipped to deal with their own mechanical problems and with necessary water/food. Please arrive at least 20 minutes early to get ready to ride and sign the waiver.

Showers or more severe weather will cancel the ride.  Ride cancellation will be announced in the comments section at least two hours before start time and the ride leaders will not be at the start.
