Join me for a Sunday morn ride down Cedar River Trail for an out and back. We will stop at our turn around point for a 5-10min meditation. Life has been rough for many lately, so lets take a few moments and connect with ourselves and nature before returning back. If you are concerned about getting cold, just walk, breathe and clear your head. Its known as a walking meditation. We will use our masks during this time and be at a safe distance. Its about reconnecting with our selves and nature, letting go of whatever sits on your shoulders, letting go of what you have no control over. We will do a pre-ride warm-up and some balance stretching when we return to the end of our ride.

Please note: During COVID-19 restrictions, all Free Group Rides are limited in the number of allowed participants. Registration for the ride (using the red “Register Now” button above) is REQUIRED to participate. If you decide not to ride, please unregister for this ride so that an additional spot will be made available to another.

Face coverings (for mouth and nose) are required when the group makes extended stops. Face coverings are recommended for the duration of the ride. Please bring personal hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, and tissues for use at rest stops.

We will observe current social distancing guidelines when off the bike, and strive to maintain at least 10-12ft separation between riders when on the bike.

We will meet at the NE corner of the parking lot at the Renton Community Center. Bathrooms at start, if open. We will stop at Ron Regis to use porta-potties.

Please arrive 30 minutes early to prepare your bike, check in, listen to the S.M.A.R.T talk and a pre-ride warm up before we leave. You should dress appropriately for the weather, but you do not need spandex or other specialized bike gear. All you need is a working bike, water, and a helmet. If you haven't ridden your bike for quite some time, please do an ABC Check (link below) or take it to your local bike shop a few days prior to the ride date. During the safety and ride briefing, we will go over hand signals and what we say during the ride to keep ourselves safe. If it’s wet or raining, please use fenders and buddy flaps if you have them. If you do not have them, you may be asked to ride in the back. Please bring water, electrolytes and snacks, as well as have a back up ride if you can not complete the ride or have a flat or mechanicals that you can not fix.

Weather – Showers, severe weather or unsafe riding conditions will cancel the ride. Ride cancellation will be announced in the comments section at least two hours before the start time, and the ride leader(s) will not be at the start.

If you have questions, please contact the Ride Leader. Prefer text, but please try to get all your questions answered before the day of the ride. Looking forwad to riding again.

Hello everyone!

Its going to be very windy  and possible rain tomorrow so that makes it a little cooler, please dress accordingly to stay warm and dry. Make sure to bring your mask, water,  electrolytes and some snacks. Please have a back up plan if you can not finish the ride or have a mechanical, like a ride to pick you up. Looking forward to riding and some mediation tomorrow! Remember, walking during meditation is welcome!

Please arrive and have your bike ready to go for the SMART talk before we leave about 10-15min before. Warm up not required to attend, but suggested. I will be at the start 30min early warming up and available for questions, etc.

See you tomorrow!
