Beginners extremely welcome! Been off the bike for a while? Bought a bike and not yet confident riding? Want to explore new routes and meet new people? Join us to get riding for health, fitness or just fun! Here is your opportunity to develop riding skills, become more familiar with your bike and feel confident riding in a group.

We will start from Element Cycles in Redmond. The route will take us through 5 different bike trails in Redmond. We will make a quick stop in Sammamish Landing Park, where we can catch a beautiful view of Mt Rainier if the day is clear.

Arrive 20 minutes before the published start time to ready your bike, check in, and listen to the safety briefing. You will not be allowed to ride if you do not arrive on time for the safety briefing.

This is a social ride with experienced ride leaders to grow your confidence with group riding. It is free and open to everyone. The route consists of mostly trail riding with no climbs. Everyone will ride together so you need not be concerned about being left behind.

Pace - "Steady" pace is 12-14 mph on flat terrain with no wind. If you aren't sure about your pace, please join us anyway. If you need to return to the start early simply notify the ride leader. Carrying an ORCA card and a printed cue sheet is another good option.

What to bring - You should dress appropriately for the weather, but you do not need spandex or other specialized bike gear. All you need is a working bike, water, and a helmet. If you haven't ridden your bike for quite some time, please do a ABC Quick Check (link below) or take it to your local bike shop a few days prior to the ride date.

Register - Please sign an e-waiver by clicking on the “Register Now” button at the top of this page (right below the ride title) and enter your information. You do not need to do this but it saves us time at the ride start. If you cannot make the ride, you do not need to unregister.

Weather - Steady rain will cancel the ride. Ride cancellation will be announced in the comments section at least two hours before start time and the ride leader will not be at the start.

Parking - There is parking available, but please don't park directly in front of the bike shop.

Restrooms and water - There are restrooms and water at the start in Element Cycles. There are also restrooms in Sammamish Landing Park.

If you have questions, feel free to contact the ride leader.
