This week the MUMPS moderate paced ride is designed to help Steady pace riders who want to try a Moderate pace. I plan to ride 14-15mph on the flat (unless everyone goes faster) and not amp up the effort much on the hills. The ride heads north from Log Boom Park to a lunch stop at Snohomish Bakery at about mile 20, and returns by a different route. This is mostly scenic rural cycling.
We regroup frequently including at the top of hills. There are restrooms at the start. Full fenders and mud flaps are appreciated if the roads are wet. Please be prepared to take care of your flats or mechanical issues if necessary. (You will nearly always find other riders to be helpful also.)
Note we are not following the same route as the Brisk MUMPS group this time. See the link below for the 40-mile moderate route. If you want the route/cue sheet, please download or print it to bring along.
If the weather forecast is for rain or unsafe riding conditions during the ride, the ride leader will not be at the start and and a cancellation notice will be posted in the comments section below at least two hours in advance.
Please save time at the start by registering online (on this page); make sure your account is open, click on Register Now, check the waiver box and enter your contact info if it doesn't appear automatically, and you are good to go. You don't need to un-register if you don't make it to the ride. Please be at the start at least 10 minutes early for SMART safety talk and route comments.
