KEEPING RIDERS SAFE

- Attendance at the pre-ride safety briefing is required to participate in the ride.
- If you have tested positive for COVID or have been exposed to someone with COVID, follow the quarantine and isolation guidelines. In general, if you have COVID or are displaying COVID symptoms, or if you are sick with the flu or a cold, you should not participate in group rides.
- Carry a face covering in case a business or public transit requires their use.
- Please, no spitting or “snot-rockets” while participating.
- A CPSC certified helmet is required to be worn to participate.

Please join us on a beautiful summer morning for a bike ride. We will start in Kent and head to the valley passing through Auburn towards Black Diamond. Touching the edge of Black Diamond, we turn north towards Maple Valley where we will stop at mile 24 at Ristrettos Cafe for our rest stop. After our break we will ride towards Renton and back to our start in Kent.
Riders should ensure bikes are in good working order before joining and bring a spare tube, tools and the know-how to fix a flat. Be sure to have sufficient water, snacks and raingear. Please be courteous to your fellow riders by arriving at the start by 8:45 am for the safety briefing so we can roll promptly at 9:00 am. Restrooms are located in the park by the parking lot.
The ride leaders will not be at the ride start should inclement weather and unsafe road conditions meet the definition for cancellation (showers, steady rain). Ride cancellation will be announced in the Comments Section below and on Meetup at least two (2) hours prior to the ride start. If you have questions about the weather, please call 818-590-8167 or 425-208-9408, preferably before you leave for the ride.
Pre-registering for the ride: You may also register for this ride online, by clicking on the "Register" button under the ride title, checking the Waiver Signature box, and saving registration. Registering requires a Cascade account. If you can’t make the ride you do not need to unregister. By registering you won’t have to fill in the sign in sheet at the start of the ride.
Step #1 Sign into (or create) a Cascade account at www.cascade.org
Step #2 Open this ride announcement and click on the Register button under the ride title at the top.
Step #3 On the Registration page, check the Waiver Signature release box (please read or review the Waiver & Release by clicking the link below the Waiver Signature box). Don't change the number in the "Spaces" block.
Step #4 Fill in the Emergency phone number space with the number of your emergency contact person.
Step #5 Click on the "Save Registration" button. Now you are registered for the ride.
If you can't make the ride you do not have to unregister. This will save you time at the start.
