There is a four hour parking restriction at Log Boom Park. If you are concerned it might be enforced you can park on NE 175th St heading into the park.
Cross the newly opened 520 trail twice in one ride. This moderate paced ride heads from Log Boom Park in Kenmore to Montlake, crosses 520, goes south through Medina & Bellevue, crosses I-90, stops at the Leschi Starbucks for lunch, heads north to cross 520 the second time (eastbound both times), and returns to Log Boom via Kirkland.
(Note this ride gets to Leschi much later than usual because of the 520 and I-90 crossings).
Weather: Forecast for rain, snow, ice/frost or other unsafe riding conditions will be cause for cancellation, in which case the moderate pace ride leader will not be at the start at Log Boom Park and the cancellation will be posted (in Comments, below) at least 2 hours before the start.
Full fenders and mud flaps are highly recommended and appreciated if rain is expected or the roads are wet.
There are restrooms at the start and the lunch stop.
The RWGPS route/cue sheet is at the link below. Please download or print it if you want it, as it will not be handed out at the ride.
Please come with the equipment and know-how to take care of your own flats and mechanicals (or with a plan for getting back to the start if your bike won't take you there). Please be at the start and ready to ride at least 15 minutes early for safety talk so we can roll out promptly at 10.
You can save time at the start by pre-registering here up to two hours before the start. Make sure you are logged into your CBC account (you don't have to be a member to have an account), click on REGISTER NOW, check the waiver box, and you're good to go. You don't have to un-register if you don't make it to the ride.
