October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we are spreading the news by hosting the 1st Pedal In Pink Women's Ride. Ladies let's get some attention for the cause by getting bedecked and bedazzled in pink! Wear the pink jersey or scarf, cape, tutu or wig, and let's get people to think about saving the tata's and lives!
This ride is for Women Only! If you are looking for a welcoming group of women who are here to encourage each other while having fun and developing new friendships, then this is the group for you! Your ride leader, Juli Zalud, is a Trek Women's Advocate and invites all women (regardless of the bike brand you ride) to experience the fun of getting out on your bike with other like-minded women, get in some exercise and good conversation, while enjoying the day with other ladies who share the passion of cycling. This is a group ride for the women who are looking for a positive, fun, and encouraging group. If it's your first group ride, we welcome you and would love to have your join us! You can do this!
Route: This route take us from Kenmore into Kirkland then makes its way into Redmond for our rest stop at approx mile 18 at Trek Redmond. As most all the climbing is done before the rest stop, we will have a relaxing, enjoyable roll back to the Hangar. Please make sure you are comfortable with the posted pace. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your ride leader, Juli, at the email listed above.
RSVP: Please RSVP by clicking on the red Register Now button at the top of this page to save time at ride start. Please register at least 2 hours prior to the ride. You can always register at the ride start if you miss the cut-off. If you sign up using e-waiver but decide not to ride, no worries, and we'll see you next time. If you are not a member of Cascade, please sign up for a free account and register so that we can have adequate assistance for the group.Thank you!
PACE: The listed pace is based on the flats, with no headwind, and at your own pace up hills. We will regroup at the top of hills. Ladies, you don't have to be a fast climber to join in this group, this is not a race! We are here to encourage and empower one another to get stronger. As long as you are comfortable with the posted pace on the flats, don't worry about the rest. We will wait at the top of climbs to give all riders a chance to catch a breath before continuing. When using designated bicycle trails we will observe the posted speed limit. If you have any personal concerns about the pace or climbing please email Juli at the email address listed above.
START LOCATION & PARKING: Ride starts at The Hangar located at 6728 NE 181st St, Kenmore, WA 98028. There are restrooms inside The Hangar.

PLANNED STOPS: We will stop at theTrek Remond store at mile 16.5 for a water and restroom break. There is no formal food stop on this ride so plan to bring food/nutrition as needed.
MECHANIICALS: Group will stop for flats. Bring tools and knowledge to repair flats, and a plan ie: Orca card, a friend or Uber for rescue should you have a serious mechanical failure.
REQUIRED: As is required with all Cascade rides, please ensure you wear a helmet and come prepared with water bottles and gear that is comfortable and appropriate for the distance/elevation. Mirrors and lights, both head lights and tail lights, are highly recommended by the ride leader to keep yourself and your riding buddies safe and seen.

Parking
The city of Kenmore has informed me that we are permitted to park anywhere in the Hanger parking lot, even in the spots that have the signs for Hangar customers. They requested that we keep the closest parking spot open for the coffee shop customers but anywhere else it’s OK. There is also street parking.

nice
This is actually a very good charity work. Here the women the page here are taking initiative for the awareness program. I think this pink ride rally will surely give very good attention to the public
