We start out with a short climb up Lake Washington Blvd. then out to May Valley Road, and a scenic climb over Cedar Grove Rd. Our route then takes us through Maple Valley, Ravensdale and Cumberland, down to the  Green River Gorge for a photo op before continuing on to Black Diamond for our food stop. We head back through Maple Valley, connecting up with the Cedar River Trail down to Renton and back along Lake Washington to Newport Hills.
