Training for Spring #6 Lake Sammamish Loop from Exit 7 (Moderate)

This is a 9-week progressive series intended to prepare us to start strong in our spring training rides. Optional social gatherings are available before and after the rides to meet and connect with Ride Leaders and fellow riders.
This week’s ride starts at Starbucks off of I-405 Exit 7. We’ll head to Factoria and ride a clockwise loop around Lake Sammamish. We’ll stop at Marymoor Park for a quick restroom break.
After the ride is finished, please feel free to join us at Dino’s Pub (1800 NE 44th St, Renton) for a bite to eat.
Rest Stop: Marymoor Park MP 14.4
Parking: Do not park in front of Starbucks or any other storefront. Please park on the road south of Starbucks (NE 43rd Place).
Restroom use at the start: Use of restrooms in stores or businesses requires a purchase.
Registration: Please register and sign the electronic waiver. This saves time at the start of the ride.
Weather: Please come with long fenders, including a buddy flap, if the roads are wet. The ride will be canceled with heavy rain, high winds, flooding, ice/snow or other unsafe riding conditions, and a cancellation comment will be posted here at least two hours before the start of the ride.
Mechanical issues: You should also be prepared to fix a flat tire, with tools, tubes and the ability to change the tire yourself. The group will generally not stop for repairs.
Note: Please show up to the ride start at least 20 minutes early, so we can discuss the safety briefing before starting the ride promptly at 10:00am.
