A mostly rural ride out of Marymoor over the Sammamish Plateau to the Snoqualmie Valley, and back via Union Hill and Redmond Ridge. Two-and-a half good climbs, two fast descents, assorted rollers, and a long flat run through the fields and along the river from Fall City to Ames Lake Road. Riders climb and descend at their own pace. Please be ready to ride 10 minutes before start time so we can have the safety talk and get on the road.
A Ride With GPS route map with cue sheet is at the link. If you want a cue sheet, please print it. Bring ID, spare tube, tools, patch kit, pump, and skills to fix flats, and have a phone and a plan for rescue if your bike fails. If roads are wet, roostertails from bare tires are a safety issue for other riders. Fenders with long mudflaps show that you care.
No formal food stop, but we'll pause at the Carnation Starbucks for relief and refreshment along the way. Porta-pot but no water at the start. Water and restrooms at Beaver Lake/Mile 10, Carnation/Mile 28.7, and Redmond Ridge Park/Mile 44.5.
Please RSVP by clicking on the red "Register Now" button under the ride title above. This will save time at the start. NOTE: I will print the ride waiver at 7 AM on ride day. It's not a problem if you decide after that time to ride but you'll need to sign in at the start.
The listed phone number won't be answered on the morning of the ride and the voicemail will not be checked. If weather conditions meet the Showers Cancel criteria, I will post a ride-cancelled notice in Comments, below, at least two hours prior and not go to the start. Please check here before leaving for the ride.

We shall see
The reported temperature at Marymoor as of 0720 is 33*F. By 0930 it is supposed to be 37*F. That is colder than last night's forecast for that hour, but my concern is frost and black ice. I am going to the start and we shall see how things look at ride time. A delay until 10 AM is possible. We also have to contend with windstorm debris on road shoulders. If we ride we will skip the forested Issaquah-Fall City Road descents in favor of Duthie Hill Road. This will cut the mileage to 44 miles.
Thinning out
Two registered riders have now dropped out due to cold and storm debris. Because we are past the 2-hour cut-off for on-line cancellation, I am still going to Marymoor. Hopeful, but not optimistic.
