Ride to Ali From Renton
Looking Forward to Joining your ride. I have been riding with CBC for over 2 years now, so quite familiar with Group Rides. Have done Several Rides with Alan Lawrence last winter at Moderate Pace, but due to some knee issues had to cut back to a Leisurely - Steady Pace. Has gotten better, so now I can easily do a 14 MPH Average Pace on Flat-Moderate Elevation, bit slower on hills. Might be "Challenging" to keep up with a 16 MPH Average Pace. Does your group have folks that can keep a "Low Moderate" Pace, as well as those that can ride at an "Enthusiastic Moderate" ( i.e. 16 is "slow" for them)? I still plan to join up. I have ridden essentially all over King and Pierce County with CBC, so I do know my way around, and I am not "directionally challenged", well prepared for flats, etc, so I can "peel off" if I'm not able to keep up with the group. Thanks,
Jim Nelson
Alki ride
Hi Jim,
The ride is really flat, and the trail has a lot of “speed bumps” (tree roots), so we won’t be going that fast. Don’t worry. We will be a stay together group. Hope to see you tomorrow.
