Join our regular Tuesday riding group for a rural ramble. We'll start at a gravel parking lot off 232nd Ave NE north of Trilogy. No bathroom or water at the start (but available before you arrive at the start at Starbuck's on Novelty Hill Road, Redmond Ridge). The ride has a few long climbs and lots of gentle rolling country roads. We'll stop in Sultan at the Sultan Bakery for lunch and then ride home.
Inclement weather cancels the ride and if obviously raining hard, leader will cancel at least two hours before the start and post the cancellation on the website. If rain is light and/or local, leader will go to the start and make the decision then.
Please register on the Cascade website or sign a paper waiver in the parking lot if you do not have a Cascade account. Please arrive well in advance of 10 AM to give yourself time to unload your bike, hear the safety brief and ride out at 10 AM. Please print a cuesheet if you want one or download the route into your garmin from the Cascade website link to ride with gps. Be prepared to ride about 14 mph on flat areas, slower on hills, and ride the hills at your own pace with a regroup at the top of the big climbs. As usual, be prepared to handle your own flat tire or other mechanical issues as the group will probably not wait for you if you have a flat tire.
This ride is available for mentoring ride leader candidates. Please contact the leader at least two days in advance.
Newcomers very welcome. Contact the leader if any questions.

Thunderstorms?
How does the forcast of thunderstorms (& potential lightening) impact the decision to cancel this ride?
I would make the decision at
I would make the decision at the start. If lightenining was happening, I'd cancel. Usually thunderstorms and lightening are in the late afternoon when the ride would be over, but I'd give it my best judgment at the start.
