Clockwise loop of Lk. Washington will begin at Woodinville Sports Fields across from Wilmot-Gateway Park. We'll warm up on the Sammamish River Trail for a few miles before beginning our urban journey through Redmond, Kirkland, Bellevue, and Mercer Island to the I-90 trail. After crossing the lake we'll head toward Madison Park where we'll have lunch at Belle Epicurean (about the 26 mile mark). After a lunch we'll continue our trek back to the start, hopping on the Burke-Gilman Trail before catching E. Riverside Dr. for our cruise into Woodinville. Opportunity for a snack and restroom break prior to our lunch stop is available.
We'll maintain a moderate pace (14-16 mph) on the flats w/o the benefit or hinderance of wind, slower on the uphills, faster on the downhills. This is a stay together ride, regrouping as necessary at the top of hills so everyone can climb at their own pace.
Riders should bring tools and knowledge to repair flats. Please have a backup plan for any mechanical that may occur. It can happen! For the comfort of fellow riders and yourself full fenders or fenders with buddy flaps are strongly recommended this time of year unless it is bone dry on the roads.
The weather is crazy this time of year so please come prepared with appropriate clothing for cold wet weather even if it's only a slight chance. You just never know what Mother Nature will throw at us. Better to have it and not need it!
Please plan to arrive about 20 minutes early in order to prepare yourself and your bike prior to safety briefing. Ride starts at 9:30.
We'll meet across the street from Wilmot-Gateway Park at the Woodinville Sports Fields parking at the south end of the fields as there is a time limit on parking at Wilmot. Public restrooms are available at the start.
Registration: To save time at the start, please register for the ride by clicking on red Register Now button. You do not need a CBC account in order to register, but it does speed up the process. There is no need to unregister should you find you are no longer able to ride.
Cancellation: Should weather conditions call for a delayed start or cancellation day of ride, a comment will be posted at least two hours prior on this ride page as well as MeetUp. If weather is questionable please check for comments before going to the start. Leader will not be at start if weather cancels or delays.

Belle Epicurean
I rode most of the route Tuesday - cannot make the ride on Wed. Belle Epicurean bakery very bike friendly and don't forget your white gloves!
Hi Stephen,
Hi Stephen,
Good to hear you enjoyed the route! You probably got better weather. It's not looking good for tomorrow. Belle Epicurean does make it all worthwhile, though. Great food!
A Fun Ride!
Thanks Pam and Marc, another great ride, great route, so so weather - but what can we do? Belle Epicurean was excellent too.
The pace was right on!
Thanks!
Thank you, John! Happy you could join us and enjoyed it. Always great to ride together!
