Routes

Training for Spring is a 10-week series intended to keep our legs moving and warm throughout the winter and preparing us for spring training rides. Optional social gatherings are available before and after the rides to meet and connect with Ride Leaders and fellow riders. Our mid-ride rest stops will be brief in an effort to retain body heat. Please arrive 20 minutes before the published start time to ready your bike, check in, and participate in the SMART safety discussion. Please register to expedite your check-in process.

The 6th of our 10 week Training for Spring series starts at Starbucks off of I-405 Exit 7.  We’ll head north along Lake Washington then cut east through the hills of Factoria and north through Bellevue. We’ll take a brief restroom stop at Marymoor Park then roll along East Lake Sammamish, up and over Newport Hill and back to the start line via Lake Washington. An optional post-ride meal will be at Dino’s Pub.

If you want a cue sheet, please go to the RideWithGPS link below and print one out for yourself.  There won't be any available from the ride leaders.

Parking: As a courtesy to the local businesses, please park on NE 43rd Pl and walk/ride to the start location, 350 feet away.

Rest Stops:  Seward Park MP 18.0

Post-Ride Meal Location: The Islander, 2441 76th Ave SE, Mercer Island

Ride Leader mentoring is available. Please contact the Ride Leader prior to the ride.

Comments

The optional post-ride meal will be at Dino's Pub, which is close to the ride start. If you really want to go to the Islander, then you want to do the ride on Feb 18th.

Seward Park rest stop at mile 18 is not on the RWGPS route

Sorry about that. The ride posting got a bit mixed up. The rest stop will be at Marymoor Park, which is roughly mile 15.

I made some minor modifications to the route:
Rest Stops at Marymoor Park (MP 14.4) and Gilman Village (MP 26.2). Sorry, the MP18 Rest Stop is a typo from the last template.
We'll jump onto the southbound East Lake Sammamish trail at MP 22.5 (7-Eleven intersection)
