Last Sunday, with enough rain and wind to consider building an ark, 18 members of the Major Taylor Project suited up, piled into our van and made their way down to Sprinker to compete in a Seattle Cyclocross event. All of the students did great, with smiling faces and mud flecked bodies they rode hard and brought pride to the Major Taylor name. One student, Mauricio Pestana, a senior at Global Connections High School, even managed to complete as many laps as the race winner--no small feat in such an exhausting competition.
