We did it! The Seattle City Council just unanimously approved the new Bicycle Master Plan! Huge thanks to Councilmembers Tom Rasmussen, Sally Bagshaw, Sally Clark and Mike O'Brien, the Seattle Department of Transportation and Mayor Ed Murray and his staff.
At this year's National Bike Summit, the Washington State advocacy group included ten members and represented a diverse constituency of bicycle interests. Despite six inches of snow on the ground, the power was in the people, our stories and our passion for promoting equity, access and safer streets for all users.
Despite half a foot of snow and countless cancelled flights, close to a thousand bicycle advocacy leaders are gathered at the League of American Bicyclists' National Bike Summit in Washington, D.C. Cascade Policy Director Thomas Goldstein is one of them.
Cascade’s nationally-recognized leadership development program, Advocacy Leadership Institute (ALI), is currently accepting applications for our 2014 spring class. ALI trains passionate people from across the region to effectively organize their communities and advocate for bike-friendly projects.
