This afternoon Cascade Bicycle Club and Seattle Neighborhood Greenways are hosting Rackathon: a regional summit to hack the bike parking code. It’s a two-hour meeting of the minds in the Great Hall at Union Station dedicated to increasing bike parking.

We did it! The Seattle City Council just unanimously approved the new Bicycle Master Plan! Huge thanks to Councilmembers Tom Rasmussen, Sally Bagshaw, Sally Clark and Mike O'Brien, the Seattle Department of Transportation and Mayor Ed Murray and his staff.
At this year's National Bike Summit, the Washington State advocacy group included ten members and represented a diverse constituency of bicycle interests. Despite six inches of snow on the ground, the power was in the people, our stories and our passion for promoting equity, access and safer streets for all users.
