STP Baggage service
Baggage Guidelines
- Baggage transportation is included in your registration. The baggage tags are part of your bib and are found in your rider packet.
- Fill out and attach your official STP baggage tags to your bags before placing on trucks; bags will not be accepted without official luggage tags. No exceptions. If your accommodation provided you with tags, bags must be labeled with both.
- Maximum of two bags (20 lbs each)
- Know which truck serves your Saturday night accommodation; confirm when you book.
- Cascade Bicycle Club is not responsible for any damaged, lost or stolen luggage
- Waterproof bags are recommended, or pack your belongings in plastic bags for protection from possible rain. The Pacific Northwest always has a 30% chance of rain!
- A bike box cannot be used as one of your two checked bags. For this service, we offer bike box transportation tickets. Click here to learn more.
Start Line Baggage Drop-Off

Friday
- Open 6:00 pm - 9:00 p.m. Optional early bag drop and overnight bike storage.
- $5 (cash only) per item for your bag(s), bike or bike box at the start line (2 bags = 2 items = $10 total)
- You must have your luggage tags removed from your bib and filled out (see baggage guidelines above)
- Have your bike plate affixed to your bike, you can only claim your bike with your official rider bib
- Bike boxes must have their bike box ticket attached (sold in advance or at packet pickup)- these go on the Portland truck
Saturday
- Free to drop off.
- Trucks open from 4:45 - 7:15 a.m. (bikes can be picked up from the corral at this time)
- Follow baggage guidelines and make sure you put it on the correct truck for your mid-point destination.
- Do not leave a bag or bike box unless there is a volunteer present for loading. Your bag may not end up where you want it!
Mid-point Pickup & Drop-Off
Trucks are labeled by the drop location. Times and distances are approximate. Please know which drop location is closest to your mid-point housing and how to get there from the main STP route.
If you do not see your accommodation listed below, please contact your accommodation directly. Cascade Bicycle Club does not arrange transport to any locations other than those listed below. Your community organization can give you more details on how your luggage will be picked up and dropped off from the midpoint locations.
Be sure your bags meet you in Portland!
On Sunday luggage trucks (or luggage piles at some locations) begin accepting luggage at 6:00 a.m. Trucks are loaded, locked, and leave promptly at their designated time. Have your bag on the truck a minimum of 30 minutes prior to the scheduled leave time.

- Bags not picked up by Sunday night will be charged a transportation & storage fee and available for pickup at Cascade Bicycle Club, anything left past August 1st will be donated.
