Carnation-Snoqualmie Ridge gravel ride

Let's meet at the Tolt-MacDonald Park in Carnation, WA. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

Join us for a fun gravel ride going from Carnation out to Snoqualmie Ridge.  Along the way, we will ride on the Snoqualmie Valley Trail, the Coal Mine Connection Trail, the Fisher Creek Trail, the Business Park Loop Trail, the Silent Creek Trail, the Deep Creek Trail, and also on some trails in Tolt-MacDonald Park.  Either a gravel bike or a mountain bike will work for the ride depending on rider preference/skill level.  Some of the trails have short/steep climbs, others have some roots/rocks to navigate, and the Deep Creek trail has a long descent with some tight-ish turns.  Overall, I think a mountain bike is a little easier for the terrain, but a gravel bike should work fine for riders with reasonably good bike handling skills.  

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup frequently.  We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH).

Restrooms may be available at the start, if not, we can stop in Carnation shortly after leaving the ride start if needed. 

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. 

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.
