Lake Sammamish Plus

Join us for a scenic ride starting from the Woodinville Sports Field parking lot across from Wilmot Park on a 42 mile 1,807 feet route at a moderate pace of 16-18 MPH. Restrooms, water and parking are available at the start.

We will start on the Sammamish  River Trail to West Lake Sammamish Road, climb up to the ridge and descend to rejoin West Lake Sammamish Road. Then go around East Lake Sammamish Road, into the Redmond area and return to Woodinville. We have rest room and water stops at the beach in Lake Sammamish State Park at mile 17.8 and Perrigo Park at mile 31.5.  This is a a scenic, mostly flat ride with  a few steep hills through quiet neighborhoods and low traffic roads. 

Let's meet at the Woodinville Sports Field Parking Lot and please be ready to ride at 9:00 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup frequently. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum 15 MPH.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
