Free Group Ride
Matthews Beach Park to Wilmot Gateway Park
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Join us for a ride from Matthews Beach to Wilmot Gateway Park and back on a 21 mile route at steady pace (12-14mph)!
We'll go North along the Burke Gilman trail and then transfer to the Sammamish River trail. Along the way we'll see runners, walkers, a variety of dog breeds, and maybe even some squirrels! We'll take a rest break at Wilmot park before heading back.
Let's meet at the Matthews Beach park and please be ready to ride at 6:00pm. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
The route is mostly flat and and our goal will be to stay together. We'll be returning at dusk, so a bike light is recommended.
Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at mile 11, Wilmot Gateway Park before our return route.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
