Free Group Ride
Hills & Thrills
Event has already happened.
Join us for a ride from Kirkland on a 82 mile route at super strenuous pace of 22mph+ on the flats!
Let's have some fun while we go conquer some climbs and enjoy the fast connecting sectors in between before the next hill.
Let's meet at the Kirkland athletic field restrooms next to the transit center & library. Please be ready to ride at 9:00am. There is four hours of free parking at the public parking garage under the Kirkland library. There is a long term parking lot at the Kirkland Wester parking lot on 3rd Avenue a few blocks away. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will climb & descend hills quick pace, and our goal will be to regroup occasionally.
Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water/food at Safeway halfway in Issaquah at mile 41. We can also stop for if needed if it is warm for more water.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
