Kirkland Social - Finn Hill, Big Duck Pond

Join us for a social ride from Heritage Park in downtown Kirkland.  Parking is limited at Heritage Park but there is ample room on Waverly Way adjacent to the park. Restrooms are not available at the start, but we will stop for restrooms/water at Juanita Beach Park @ mile 2.5. 

This is hilly, steady pace (12-14mph) route over Finn Hill to the Burke Gilman Trail with a rest stop at Blyth Park @ mile 14.  The route continues through Bothell to Big Duck Pond.  On the return we will stop at Beardslee Plaza for a coffee/snack stop @ mile 21.8.  There are hills, but we climb them at our own pace and always regroup at the top.  

Please, be at Heritage Park and ready to ride at 11a.m.   We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group. 

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
