Shoreline/Lake Forest Park/Edmonds/Innis Arden Loop

Join us for a ride from Hamlin Park on a 24 mile hilly route at steady pace, 12-14 mph on flats (although this route has very little flats).

This is my go-to fitness route. It's beautiful and it is relatively quiet on the roads. We will ride through Lake Forest Park, Mountlake Terrace, Edmonds, Woodway, and into Shoreline including Innis Arden. You should be comfortable riding hills and shifting gears a lot! 

Let's meet the center of Hamlin Park near the picnic shelter at the edge of the east parking lot. Please be ready to ride at 9:30. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to ride together on the easier sections and re-group at the top of hills. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at mile 10. There will not be a place to buy food, so please bring your own snack.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. I am not particularly good at fixing flats, so have a back up plan and cell phone with you. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
