**CANCELLED** Alki to Kent Jaunt

Join us for a ride from Jack Block Park near Alki on a 39.9 mile route at Moderate 14-16 MPH Pace.

Start near Alki down to the Duwamish Trail, that at first follows W. Marginal Way SW where there is a new barricaded bike lane. We make are way to the Green River trail and end up at Starbucks in Kent. This ride is 90% on paved bike paths so we will be mostly staying at 15MPH. We have to be vigilant and slow down for kids and dogs in the trail and yield to oncoming bikes when our lane is blocked.   

Let's meet at the Jack Block Park by the bathrooms, and please be ready to ride at 9AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

There is one very small hill that we will regroup at the top. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Restrooms are available at the start. We will make a quick stop along the way for restrooms/water at mile 12. We’ll also stop for 25 minutes coffee/snacks at Starbucks at mile 19.9.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
