Woodinville-Klahanie Loop

Join us for a scenic ride starting from the Woodinville Sports Field parking lot across from Wilmot Park on a 69 mile 3,462 feet route at a brisk pace of 16-18 MPH. Restrooms, water and parking are available at the start.

Restrooms are available at the start. We will start along the Sammamish Trail, over Redmond Ridge and into the Snoqualmie Valley and Carnation, where we will stop for a coffee break at mile 27.5. From there we will ride through Fall City, up Duthie Hill and proceed to Klahanie Park, where we will have a restroom, water and eat-your-own-food  stop at mile 43.6.  From there we will descend down to East Lake Sammamish Parkway into Redmond for our final restroom and water stop at Perrigo Park at mile 58.4. Our final leg of the ride will take us to Education Hill and back to Woodinville.  This is a hilly but scenic route with a mixture of rural roads, quiet neighborhoods and a few short busy roads.  

Let's meet at the Woodinville Sports Field Parking Lot and please be ready to ride at 8:00 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup frequently. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum 15 MPH.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
