CTS Yellow #11: CTS Century

CTS #11 takes us to some familiar places, and some new ones as well. Beginning at Kenmore Park & Ride, we'll first stop at Logboom Park for our start of ride restroom.  We will proceed on the Burke Gilman Trail to the U-Village area and Husky Stadium.  We'll pick up the STP start route at Husky Stadium and then proceed south along Lake Washington.  We'll ride the scenic Cedar River Trail, climb and descend Cedar Grove Rd to Issaquah - Hobart,  possibly catch a  glimpse of paragliders on Tiger Mountain, then break for lunch at Safeway in Issaquah. After a climb up the bottom half of Newport, we'll skirt the east side of Lake Sammamish to  Redmond. The longest climb of the day takes us up to Redmond Ridge, followed by a mostly flat cruise back to the start.  Congratulations on completing the CTS Century!

NOTE: We will not exceed the 10mph speed limit on the section of Cedar River Trail from downtown Renton until an area adjacent to Ron Regis Park where the 10mph limit ends.  For any and all trails we ride, we will not exceed the posted speed limit.

Mile 31.6 Optional, Porta Potty only stop, Ron Regis
Mile 46.5 - Lunch Stop, Safeway, Issaquah
Mile 64.5 - Restroom, water, Perigo Park
Mile 79.5 - Restroom, water, Redmond Ridge Park
Mile 99 - Restroom, water, Blythe Park

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
