Bothell-Redmond-Kirkland Loop *11AM START Time*

Join us for a ride from Blyth Park in Bothell on a 29 mile loop on trail and roads to Redmond and Kirkland, with a coffee/food stop at Carillon Point in south Kirkland. The planned route per the link below includes a flat section to start, followed by a climb up the 520 trail. After the refreshment stop we'll climb Market Street in Kirkland and then Juanita Drive, which is about 3 miles uphill but not steep, and then descend its newly reconstructed north end to Kenmore.

Let's meet at Blyth Park near the restrooms and please be ready to ride at the start time posted above. Parking is also available at the former Wayne Golf Course on 96th Ave NE/Waynita Way, from where you can cycle through the tunnel and stay straight to cross the bridge and find Blyth Park on your right in just a few hundred yards.

We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and will regroup frequently.  We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Restrooms are available at the start. We will have an optional restroom/sanican stop at mile 6.9.  The coffee/food stop is at mile 17.5.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group. Mud guards (buddy flaps) on your fenders, especially if they reach to 2-4 inches above the pavement, are a great benefit to the rider behind you!

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
