Hills of the SouthWest Coast to Brown's Point

We’ll leave at 12:30 pm from the south end of the north parking lot at Lincoln Park (along Fauntleroy Way) in West Seattle. 

We'll have constant views of Puget Sound as we climb hills in West Seattle, Shorewood, Burien, Normandy Park and Des Moines and head out to Brown’s Point (north of Tacoma).  We’ll return using the same general route but with a few different hills.  

NOTE:  The Strava route map below shows the general route of the ride,  BUT we will eliminate the last two hills at the end of this route.  (The second link is an unverified downloadable route created from the STRAVA activity.)

There will be a short food stop at Brown's Point if necessary, but please bring plenty of nutrition and two water bottles for such a long hilly ride.  This ride is affiliated with Cascade's High Performance Cycling team.    

Weather cancelation: If the roads in West Seattle are still icy at 10:30 AM on Sunday morning, weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
