Join us for a ride from Sixty Acres Park on a 36 mile route at steady pace (12-14 mph on flat terrain)
We will ride south on the Cross Kirkland Corridor Trail to Bellevue, continue south to Factoria and east to Issaquah, going the "opposite" way on Newport Way. We will then turn north along the Lake Sammamish Trail, cross Marymoor Park and return to Sixty acres. The Cross Kirkland Corridor trail is hard packed and very rideable with road bikes, but is not paved.
Let's meet at the south east parking lot at Sixty Acres (note: this is the largest parking lot and is on the south side of 116th on the east side of the valley) and please be ready to ride at 10 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group. We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup occasionally. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH). Please bring navigation device or cue sheet/map in case you decide to ride on your own. There are hills, but we climb them with a commensurate level of effort of a steady pace and regroup at the top, but we won’t be able to wait long for anyone substantially off the pace.
Restrooms (Portapotties) available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water/coffee/lunch at about mile 15. Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

We hope you can join us!
