**CANCELLED** Bellevue - Maple Valley

I'm reposting this ride that I had to cancel on October 2nd.

Join us for a ride from Hidden Valley Park on a 57 mile (4700 feet climbing) route at true Brisk pace 17-18mph (on flats).

The ride starts at Hidden Valley Park - next to the Boys and Girls Club. There is free parking at the start. We will head south towards Maple Valley via Bellevue, Factoria, Renton. We will stop for coffee and bathroom break in Maple Valley (Rainier Valley Coffee + Shell Gas Station). We will make our way back via Tiger Mountain and Issaquah. There three sustained climbs on the route (196th Ave, Tiger Mountain South, and the grand finale - Squawk Mountain), plus several rollers.

Let's meet at the Hidden Valley Park and please be ready to ride at 9:00am sharp. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together on flats and regroup at the top of major climbs. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restroom at mile 8 (Lake Boren Park). We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks/water/restroom at Rainier Valley Coffee at mile 24.5 and at (optional) Safeway Eastgate at mile 50.

Bring a spare tube or two and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions (including poor air quality) or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
