**CANCELLED** Edmonds to Carkeek Park

Join us for a ride from Edmonds to Carkeek Park for a hilly 35 mile route at a Moderate pace (14-16 mph)!

The route takes us from Edmonds to Carkeek Park and includes some nice views of the Sound, Olympic Mountains, and neighborhoods.  We will ride up from the Edmond bowl over to Carkeek Park.  On our way back to Edmonds we have a fun downhill in Shoreline and a ride back up into Innis Arden.  This is a hilly ride.

Let's meet at Edmonds City Park and please be ready to ride at 9:30. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.”  

Parking - Parking at City Park is down the hill from the entrance on the right hand side - Southwest corner of the park.

Pace - We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup after hills. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).  Please bring navigation aids in case you need to finish on your own, as the ride becomes self-led for those substantially ahead of or behind the group.

Restrooms - Restrooms are available at the start and at Carkeek Park - Mile 21. 

Food - There are no food stops so riders are encouraged to bring snacks as needed for the ride.  We will pause in Carkreek Park to enjoy our snacks and take in the view.

Repairs: Be prepared with the equipment and know-how to take care of your own flats and mechanicals, and a plan for getting back to the start if your bike won't take you there (ORCA card or someone to call). If you have a problem the group may stop briefly to make sure you will be OK on your own, but we will not wait for repairs to be completed.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
