Free Group Ride
South Lake Washington Loop
Event has already happened.
Join us for a ride from Enatai Beach Park in Bellevue on a 25 mile route at a Steady Pace of 12-14 mph!
This is a relatively short 25 mile ride, around the south end of Lake Washington, returning on the I-90 Trail. We will ride along portions of the (mostly complete) Eastrail, and down to Renton Airport. If you have ridden in either the STP or the R2B2, this should be a nice easy ride to keep the legs in good condition!
Let's meet at Enatai Beach Park and please be ready to ride at 9:30. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Restroom (portapottie) is available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at Gene Coulon Park in Renton (Mile 6.8). We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at Cafe Vita in the Lakewood neighborhood at Mile 15.2.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
