Come and enjoy a relaxed ride 34-mile ride at a steady pace from Burnett Linear Park in Downtown Renton to Alki beach and return. The route consists of trails and bike-friendly streets. The route takes us along the Green River and Duwamish Trails to South Park to our mid-point coffee break at Starbucks at Alki beach. We’ll return via same route.The ride will take about 3.5 hours including rest stops.
Stops: Foster Links Golf Course (mile 4 brief restroom stop), and Alki Starbucks (mile 17) for 20 minutes for coffee and pastries.
Please be ready to ride at 10:00 AM when we will do the safety briefing and get on the road. IMPORTANT TO NOTE: If you are not present and ready when we start the safety briefing, you will not be allowed to participate.
Please bring: ID, tools and spare tube(s) to fix flats, and phone.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
