Chuckanut and Samish Lake from Fairhaven Park
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Join us for a ride from Fairhaven Park on a 30 mile route at a 12-14 steady pace.
This is the 2nd ride in Whatcom County. Make your own reservations to stay in Whatcom County for Saturday night. Leader is staying in Bellingham. PLEASE BRING A SNACK, SINCE THERE ARE NO FOOD STOPS ON THIS RIDE.
This is a beautiful ride along Chuckanut Dr. with views of Samish Bay. We will climb Colony Rd and descend to near Alger before heading north to Lake Samish
A brief stop at Samish Park for water and restrooms will refresh us for the short climb before a downhill on Old Samish Rd to return to Fairhaven Park.
Let's meet at the Fairhaven Park and please be ready to ride at 9 am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup occasionally.
Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at 23 miles.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
