Free Group Ride
TREATS - Redmond – Bellevue – Kirkland Loop
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
Join us for a relaxed social ride on a 32-mile route at a Steady pace (12-14 mph on flat terrain).
We will cycle from Redmond to the Bellevue College campus, then return through Kirkland. Restrooms are available at the start, we’ll have restroom stops at Miles 8 and 27, and lunch at Mile 18. The route will include a couple of miles of hard-pack trail on the Cross-Kirkland Connector/Eastrail.
Let's meet in the parking lot of the East Sammamish Trailhead near Whole Foods in Redmond. Please be ready to ride at 10 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing, you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace. Our goal will be to stay together so we will regroup as needed. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum. Bring anything necessary to fix a flat and be prepared to handle independently any minor mechanical issues such as flat tire. Also, bring a cue sheet or other navigational aid so you can ride at your own pace by yourself if you cannot keep the group pace.
Please have fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
