Free Group Ride
South Lake Washington Loop
Event has already happened.
Join us for a ride from Beer Sheva Park in South Seattle on a 25 mile route at a steady pace (12 to14 mph)!
The ride will start in South Seattle and follow the lake shore to Coulon Park, continuing on to the I-90 bike trail across Mercer Island, across Lake Washington to Leschi Starbucks for snacks and coffee, before returning to the start.
Let's meet at Beer Sheva Park and please be ready to ride at 10:00am. We will gather in Beer Sheva Park just across the street from the front entrance of Rainier Beach High School. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum.
Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at mile 6 (Coulon Park). We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at Leschi Starbucks at mile 18.6.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
