Lets Go For A Bike Ride - The Bridges

Join us for a ride from the Wilburton Park & Ride on a 21 mile route at steady pace (12 - 14 MPH)

We will head south to the Mercer Slough, cut through to get to the I-90 trail then across Mercer Island to our first bridge (I-90).  Cross the bridge and head north past Frink Park to Lake Washington Blvd. and Madrona Park.  Still heading north take the trail through the Arboretum to our second bridge (520).  Cross the bridge to Bellevue and then back to the Wilburton Park & Ride.  It's a short hilly ride but to see the views of the water and mountains and you will know why you live in such a beautiful city.  

Let's meet at the Wilburton Park & Ride and please be ready to ride at 10:00AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together.  We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, but 10 mph in the Arboretum).

Restrooms are not available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water and snacks at Madrona Park (mile 9.5). 

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
