Eastside Tours Rides 7 Hills (Self-paced)
Ride Contact
Event has already happened.
The official 7 Hills of Kirkland ride is not being held for 2022, so come ride the traditional 38-mile route on the traditional Memorial Day date.
7 Hills is a hilly - some would say "very hilly" - ride that features 7 hills in the Kirkland area:
- Market
- Juanita
- Seminary
- Norway
- Kingsgate
- Winery
- Old Redmond
The hills add up to 2700' climbing, and some feature gradients in excess of 15%. Bring your climbing legs.
This is a self-paced and self-supported ride. All riders should come prepared to handle any mechanical issues and navigate the route on their own.
We will meet at the Pavilion on the Kirkland waterfront. Please be there and ready to ride at 8:00 for the mandatory pre-ride meeting. Parking at the start is very limited; you can find parking on Lake Street to the south or on Market Street to the north, up the first hill. Some parking areas at the marina have 4 hour limits.
Restrooms will be available:
- At the start
- 15.8 miles in at Edith Moulton park on the east (left) side of the route
- 30.2 miles in at Grass Lawn part on the north (right) side of the route, just after crossing 148th Avenue.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
