**CANCELLED** Eastside Hills #14 Try #2

Join us at the Woodinville Sports Fields for a 68-mile ride at a Vigorous pace (18-20 mph on the flats.)

This week's ride includes eleven major hills in the Bothell/Kirkland/Redmond area, including 240th in Woodinville, the reservoir hill in Lake Forest Park, and two routes up Finn Hill in Kirkland.  The route is designed to stay relatively close to the start so that it is easy to return in case of rain.

Let's meet at the Woodinville Sports Fields parking lot. 

Please be ready to ride at 9 a.m.  Please note the new time.  We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup at the top of sustained climbs. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 mph.)

Restrooms and free parking are available at the start.  We will plan for two stops along the way for restrooms/water/food, one at the Juanita Safeway at mile point 28 and one at Novelty Hill QFC at mile 57.  

Bring a spare tube (or two) and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If there is steady rain or hazardous riding conditions, such as snowy or icy roads, or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.  During the ride we will tolerate light rain or brief showers, but if we encounter heavy rain we may return early.
