**CANCELLED** Erasmus Birthday Celebration

Join us for a ride from Downtown Renton on a 24.5 mile route at a Steady pace (12-14 mph)!

Renton's beloved rooftop dragon Erasmus is three years old! We will be "celebrating" by meeting up at Erasmus himself and going on a group ride, followed by an optional stop for cupcakes at the end. This route will begin with a social portion on the Cedar River Trail, then loop up to Issaquah and back. There are small to medium hills on the way there, ending with a 400 ft descent back to the trail. We will always regroup at the top of hills and on turns. 

Let's meet at Erasmus the Rooftop Dragon, please be ready to ride at 9:30 am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently.

Restrooms are not available at the start, but we will stop along the way for restrooms at mile 3.1 (Ron Regis Park). We’ll also optionally enjoy some coffee/cupcakes at Common Ground Coffee & Cupcakes at the end of the ride, located across the street from our starting point.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
