Free Group Ride
Ron Regis Restrettos Version 3
Event has already happened.
Join us for a Morning ride from Ron Regis Park (1501 Orcas Avenue Southeast) To Ristrettos in Black Diamond, a 39-mile route at a Moderate pace (14-16 MPH). The pace of this ride is based on having no wind and being on a flat road. If there is a headwind or a hill, the pace will be lower, if we have a tailwind or downhill, the pace may be higher. Due to the number of similar routes I ride version numbers are used, versions of the same ride may have very different elevation profiles. Keep this in mind when deciding to do this ride.
Let's meet at Ron Regis at 9:45 AM for our pre-ride safety briefing. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup as needed. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Porta-Potty is available at the start, please plan accordingly. We will make our food stop at Ristrettos (mile 19),
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Mentoring available for prospective Ride Leaders with advance notice.
We hope you can join us!
