Pierce County Trails Day: Foothills Trail to Tacoma (the return)

This group ride is the return portion of my favorite route connecting the Foothills Trail to Tacoma. The route from Tacoma to the trail starts as a group ride in Tacoma at noon, please register for both rides if you wish to do both the out and back with the group. This ride my last of the day in celebration  of Forever Green Trail's Pierce Country Trail days and it will feature Puyallup's Riverwalk Trail. Note that this is a one-way ride. 

We're going to meet in front of Farm 12, near the Foothills Trail Puyallup Trailhead. Please be at the start, ready to ride, at 3:30pm (if you rode with us to the trail from Tacoma, you should have had some time to explore the trail on your own and/or hang out at Farm 12) 

Pace of this ride is Moderate  and the miles per hour (mph) listed is not an average, but rather the speed we travel on flat terrain without wind. We will be faster on downhills and slower on uphills. Every rider will take hills at their own pace and we will regroup after them and before turns.

Helmets are required. Other items to bring: a charged cell phone, id, cash and/or credit card, water, a small snack, a face covering, hand sanitizer, kleenex, a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the ride will be canceled at least two hours prior to the start and the Ride Leader will not be at the start location. Cancelation notice will be on the ride posting here and will also be emailed to registered riders.
