Lets Go For A Bike Ride - South End of Lk. Wash.

Join us for a ride from Wilburton Park and Ride on a 27 mile route at steady pace (12 - 14 mph)

We will head south from the park and ride past the Seahawks training center to Gene Coulon Park (Renton). Continue south through Renton and around the south end of Renton Airfield.  View the new Boeing airplanes, head north on Rainier Ave to Seward Park Ave. then to Seward Park. (Break time) Keep heading north to I-90 Bridge, beautiful view of Mt. Rainier (hopefully) across Mercer Island, the East Channel Bridge and back to our starting point.

Let's meet at the Wilburton Park and Ride and please be ready to ride at 10:00 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together.  We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).

Restrooms are not available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at Gene Coulon Park and Seward Park miles 6 and 20. 

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
